5 ideas to decorate your photocard without overdoing it

A great photocard isn’t the one with the most stickers. It’s the one where every sticker has a reason to be there. These five ideas work for any photo and any kit.

1. Frame it with corner stickers

Two corner pieces on opposite corners (top left and bottom right, for example) frame the photo without covering anyone. It’s the fastest way to make a card look “finished”.

In mallow, stickers snap to the center and to right angles (0°, 90°, 180° and 270°) with a little haptic tap, so two corners line up easily.

2. The rule of three

Pick three stickers in three sizes: one big, one medium and one small. Place them in a loose triangle. Odd numbers feel natural; pairs of the same size feel stiff.

3. Repeat a color from the photo

Look at the outfit, the background or the lighting and choose the sticker preset that matches. In mallow, a kit’s presets recolor only the main colors of each sticker, so the outline and the shine stay the same.

4. Holo for the hero

Holo and glitter catch the eye, and that’s exactly why you should use them once. Give the holo finish to the most important sticker and leave the rest matte or gloss. The card looks richer, not busier.

5. Leave air around the face

Decorate the edges and keep the center for your bias. A good test: cover the stickers with your thumb. If the photo still works on its own, the deco is helping it.

Bonus: the back of the card

Many collectors decorate the back too: a date, a small sticker, the name of the event. Make a second card in mallow and print both, or duplicate the first one and change the photo.
