Who we are

mallow (“we”) makes the mallow: Photocard Maker app and this website, mallow.pics. You can reach us at contact@mallow.pics.

This website

This website has no cookies, no analytics and no third-party scripts. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser and page requested) for security, for a limited time.

Your photos and cards

You don’t need an account to use mallow. Your photos and cards are stored only on your device, and the photo is saved reduced in size. We don’t see them.

If you choose cloud backup with mallow+, your cards are stored encrypted in transit and at rest so you can restore them, and deleted when you delete them or your subscription data.

AI features

Cutting out people happens on your device. When you use photo restoration or AI editing, that photo is sent through our server to Google Cloud Vertex AI to be processed, and the result is returned to you. We don’t keep the photo afterwards and it is not used to train models.

Usage data

To improve the app, mallow uses an anonymous, random identifier and records product events (for example, “printed a sheet”) with PostHog on servers in the European Union. These events never include your photos or the text on your cards.

Purchases and subscriptions are handled by Apple; RevenueCat helps us know which plan is active. We never receive your payment details.

We don’t track you across other companies’ apps or websites, we don’t show third-party ads, and we never sell your data.

Notifications

mallow only sends push notifications if you allow them, and you can turn them off any time in Settings.

Your rights

You can ask us to access or delete the data linked to your anonymous identifier by writing to contact@mallow.pics. Deleting the app deletes everything stored on your device.

Children

mallow is suitable for all ages and doesn’t ask for names, emails or ages.

If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
